Now, I'm trying to work out WHY anyone would but I have just bought from a supplier who now accepts Paypal and they process it through Protx.
Bit of a weird process really.
You head off to Protx to pay and then, along with the card type options, there's a Paypal button.
Clicking that takes you to a login page for Paypal where you login etc as usual.
Gives you the totals and says that back up funds, over and above the paypal balance, will be taken from X bank account (although, unlike a 'normal' Paypal transaction, it doesn't show the balance/bank transfer split) and then, clicking proceed takes you to a Protx summary screen, listing 'Paypal' as card type XXXX as card numbers and then authorises it through Protx.
What a weird setup!
I'm not entirely sure why anyone would do it this way rather than just offering a credit/debit card option (ie Protx) alongside a Paypal option but it worked.
Protx obviously accept Paypal as a payment type to process.
Anyone else come across it before? With Protx or any other PSP?
Just wondered really.
