    WorldPay test transaction

    I am trying to configure WorldPay on my site. I've entered the ID and secret key provided by WorldPay but am still getting this message when I try to complete a test transaction.

    Secure Payment Page
    Sorry, there was an error in processing this transaction: The information
    sent from the merchant's site is invalid or incomplete. Please send the
    following information to the merchant:
    The transaction cannot be processed due to one or more of the following:
    * the installation ID field is blank or contains invalid characters
    * a different submission protocol is required. For instance, a more
    secure submission may be required
    * the installation number is invalid

    I've been all through Actinic HELP and the WorldPay support pages but can't work out where I've gone wrong. Any ideas?

    Hi,

    When you registered for Worldpay, did you tell them that you were using Actinic as our integration uses a different gateway to their other customers?

      Yes , I did tell them I was using Actinic. They're insisting now that I'm not using the correct Merchant ID - but I've checked and double-checked that the one they gave me is correct in Business Settings / Payment and Security/ WorldPay/ Configure method. Is there anywhere else I need to set it in Actinic? Also do I need to upgrade with the
      v8.5.3 payment gateway patch?
      My site was actually working already when I bought it - but using a different payment method. Perhaps this is causing a problem?

      The problem seems to be sorted now ( not quite sure how?) So - fingers crossed! I have taken my first order at last. Thanks for your advice.

        No, with Worldpay you only need to set the Merchant ID and the Secret Key in the 'Configure Method' window.

        Also do I need to upgrade with the v8.5.3 payment gateway patch?
        There haven't been any changes to the Worldpay integration, so that shouldn't make a difference. However, if you are using v8.5.3 it wouldn't hurt to install it.

        Have you tried a 'Help | Troubleshooting | Purge & Refresh'?

        They're insisting now that I'm not using the correct Merchant ID
        A last thought would be that they could maybe supply you with a new Merchant ID, that you could enter and then refresh your site.
