    Set up Paypal

    HI all,
Im trying to set up my first internet site so any anwers please in plain english guys as all this very new to me and just learning.

I have set up a business account with paypal today although i have to wait 5 to 7 days to confirm my bank account, and i have set my Payment provider in Actinic business settings to (paypal website payments). In the configure section i have entered my paypal log in email address as requested and saved it.
I then updated to my live website.

I did a test payment with my card but it did not take me to the paypal payment pages and just took all the info in the Actinic format. It seemed to take all the info and card details, then at the end there was no conformation of order or payment and just went back to my products page.

From now on im not sure what to do. I dont know how to intergrate my checkout page with paypal to use there secure payment pages as i dont know how to use SSL.
I read some info on this on the paypal website but it just confused me even more and dont know were to start.
Also i would like to know how to intergrate my logo and store colors onto there payment pages too.
    My website is www.onestopfoodsuk.com

I am based in Spain and would like to also offer other ways of payments for my clients too. I wanted to use protx as a second payment option but they seem to require an english merchent account, and i have a spanish business account.
    (Is there away round this)

If anyone could talk me through this prosses i would be so greatful.

    Simon,
I'd love to help you but, without logging in, it's a PITA to do a test purchase!
It kept asking me to login and wouldn't take me anywhere without logging in, other than the sitemap.
From there, I tried a puzzle book..which added to cart with no price.
I added a further item - gravy granules (which worked ok) but then couldn't checkout with a cart value below €10!
I'm afraid, at that point, I gave up!

iamnot sure that you are not confused over the 2 different methods of taking payments using paypal.

1 paypal where customers jump to paypal to pay using their paypal accts all processing in on PP secure servers.
2 paypal pro when you use SSL to secure your site, customers stay on your site and PP process the payment.

HI, sorry about that, it dosent ask me to log in when i do it here, hmmm. I think i have fixed the problem now and i have taken off the 10.00 euro min order amount.
Dont go into books as they are not yet priced. Only did them today. Most of the food items in grocery and household products are now ready and you can do a test from there.
The site is not fully finished yet and have alot of tidying to do and last minute fixes and tarting up. Im also waiting for my host to give me my Smpt server details for the automated emails so you wil not receive a comformation email.
Im just updating the site now so the 2 fixes should be done in a few minutes.
I would be very greatfull if you could try again for me
        Thanks TraceyHand

          Hi Pinbrook
Im not sure how to set up the ssl, as when i select this, when i buy something, the checkout pages just go blank. I dont know what im doing with it so
I would rather customers could jump to the Paypal secure server to make there payments, but dont know how to make it do that.

no thats funny, it seems to be working now.
Perhaps it was the log in setting that was stopping it.
It seems to be ok now.
Thanks both of you for your time and help. It seems to have sorted itself out.

Now all i need to know is how to put my logo onto the Paypal pages...
Anyone know how i can do this?
