Taking extra payments after the original (AP)

        Came up with a flash of inspiration (it happens occasionally) as to how I could get round this but it doesn't work!

        Imported 8.5.3 snapshot into 9.0.2, adding the Actinic MOTO as a desktop payment method etc...figured I could get it to give me the 'pay' button so I could handle the additional payment.

        Well, it did...except it's only giving me the option of 'use different card' not 'use same card'

        Is this because it was an upgraded order?

        Will other MOTO buttons work correctly on upgraded orders (such as 'Void' or 'Refund')? I can't test it as, obviously, it's a live site and I can't void any of these payments.

          I've done this with no problem in 9, only on pre-auths though!

          MOTO will always ask for a different card AFAIK as the card details aren't stored as such/it has no card associated with it - not sure if I'm making sense

          Agreed we need an idiots guide and also a way of associating terminal IDs with different stores, I have one AP account but several stores, for reporting purposes everything appears to be running through one store - guess I should start a new topic on that really!

            the original transaction was a website one, in this case though so I expected the 'pay' button to offer me the original card to use.
            I suppose there's some reason why it didn't

              If an order has come through the web, you don't need to go anywhere near MOTO to add a new item value but as I say that's in 9.

              I've just checked and it gives the option of same card or new card. If I go to an order with a pending payment (the payment method defaults to MOTO/CNP), go to payments, click pay I only have the option of use different card and then when I click pay it takes me to the AP MOTO terminal - does that make sense?

                I didn't mean the MOTO form (which we lowly catalog users don't have the pleasure of anyway)

                I had an order, fully paid by AP in 8.5.3. Customer wants to add an item to the order but I can't charge for it with 8.5.3.
                I imported the 8.5.3 snapshot into V9, hoping to be able to use the 'pay' button to process a transaction but it only allows me to use a 'different card'.
                I'm just not sure why this is because I'm assuming it's not typical V9 behaviour.

                  It's going to be something to do with the fact that the order was taken in v8 and then upgraded to v9 - but I couldn't tell you why. If you do a test order in v9 (maybe with the store in 'Test Mode') for a 1p item you could see whether you get the option with new orders,

                    I have a live test site (IYSWIM LOL) lurking somewhere so I'll try on that.
                    Maybe 8.5.3 records a downloaded payment (and the direct link to it in the admin) differently to V9?
                    It was just an idea anyway. Was hoping it'd work from V8-9 because customer STILL hasn't got back to me with her details (which means I'll have to call her tomorrow...and I really don't DO phones LOL)

                              I've attached what I mean about the payment method (AP through website) and the option it's giving me (or not, as the case may be)
                              Must be because it's an upgraded order, I suppose.
                              Haven't had chance to check with a 'real' V9 order yet to make sure it's not something in my setup/installation though

                                Can someone confirm that if a customer (regular trade customer in this case) emails stating he wants to place a repeat order and use the same card as last time I will need to contact him for the card details again and process them through Actinic Payments MOTO. I have looked at the 'Pay' mentioned earlier in this thread but that only gives me the option of "Use Different card".

                                How do others deal card payments with repeat trade customers who perfer to phone or email their order rather than place an order through the website.
