Maestro and 3D Secure - let's gather some data

I wonder if you could help? It would be fantastic is as many people as possible could answer the following short survey. It should take less than a minute and would really be helpful in helping us implement 3D Secure (Verified by Visa and Mastercard SecureCode). Once ew've got a fair few replies, I will summarise them in the thread so that the information is available to everyone.

Q1. Do you have a Maestro card YES/NO?
If NO, end (it's still very helpful for us to get this response of NO from you to try to measure Maestro penetration).

Q2. If YES, have you used it in the last 6 months to buy online YES/NO?
If NO, end.

Q3. If YES, do you remember being asked for a password or asked to set up a password at any time offline or online (your PIN number used in shops and garages doesn't count)YES/NO?

Q4. If YES, how often do you get asked for a password or to set up a password when shopping online with your Maestro card (again, PIN numbers don't count): EVERY TIME/FREQUENTLY/OCCASIONALLY OR ONCE

Q5. Do you know what either Mastercard Securecode or 3D Secure are YES/NO

Q2 : Yes but rarely (It's an account that I only use to transfer money to to pay motor bills so I only ever use it to withdraw cash or make bill payments)

Only ever used debit cards online with the airlines because they're expensive and have a surcharge, and now they're too risky to do this.

I'm not sure what the point of the survey is though. Everyone on the forum should be knowledgable about this stuff and I'm sure we can all provide better stats on the percentage of maestro cards used as the merchant accounts provide a breakdown of usage every month.

I can also tell you that far too many Maestro cardholders make a balls up when they get the 3d secure message. They try twice and then it's a case of emailing them to try and recover the order.
