    Actinic Payments Reports...again!

Is anyone else having problems generating reports today
I need a Bank Submissions report for December and it's just not happening.
It's slow at the best of times (like, several minutes to generate the report) but I've left it for about 10 minutes now and it's STILL just thinking about it!

Most of the reports are ok usually (I'm about to try a different one now) but this Bank Submissions report, even if it's for a short period of time, is ridiculous.

    Is it just me?

I'm having problems getting the money into the bank.

A transaction from 24th December still hasn't been credited even though it is shown as settled in AP. Streamline say they haven't received the appropriate 'file' from AP. Ongoing with support.

Tracey, do you find the bank submissions report any use when you do get it?

When you finally get a Bank Settlement report all it tells you is the number of transactions per day and the total for that day. To find out the details of each transaction you need to drill down about 4 levels for every single transaction individually which takes forever. This is no good for bank reconciliation at all.

If you've found a way around this I'd be interested to hear it. This is the only thing that's stopping me from switching all my PROTX sites over to AP.

I am still running protx and to be honest AP seems to be troublesome sometimes. The reporting is poor, im not the best at keeping upto date with stuff like this, so when i get around to it waiting forever for them is a PITA

Emails with the transaction details is one of my hates, or rather the lack of these.

I only use the bank submissions report to tally against the statement. I use a daily report to check they're 'all there'

I never did manage to get a bank submissions report at all
          Useless!

I have to say though.. So far I'm impressed with the Actinic Payments system itself and its integration into the Actinic package. It makes order processing so much easier. It's a big shame that the 'reporting' side is currently a huge let down.

Darren, what's frustrating is that the building blocks for a reasonable reporting system appear to be in place...

The facility for a report to be scheduled, generated and emailed to you automatically is there but not available on all report types.

The facility to select custom fields for reports is there but not all fields (including the most useful ones such as Cardholder name) are selectable.

It appears from the outside that one last shove of effort is needed to finish the job or at least make it a lot more usable.

I think I'm right in saying that this backend reporting is CreditCall, mind you, rather than Actinic so I guess it needs Actinic to push CreditCall into improving them.
There have been improvements in the CP lately and I think Tracey mentioned (when I was complaining that I couldn't generate an Bank Submissions report for downloaD) that there was another one due soon so hopefully we'll see some better reporting in the near future

We are contacting CreditCall again regarding this Bank Submissions report. I'll endeavour to keep you updated.

                      Thanks, Tracey

It's ridiculous because I can't even GENERATE a December Bank Submissions report and I need it.
It's been 'thinking' about it for 10 minutes now...and I very much doubt it'll bring one up at the end of it.

I was having problems the other day, the banking report sucks BIG TIME

I would love a report that showed me

daily submissions with the option to show each card transaction per day

a simple report that is still not avaliable and what is just does not always work

The Bank Submissions report is going to be available as an offline report in the next WebMIS update because it can be an intensive report to run.

I was hoping you weren't going to ask that but I should've known better . I'm sure you know that I can't give specific dates but as far as I can tell the update is with our QA department to test and once they give the go ahead then it will be implemented live. So, I would say, in the not too distant future, but note that this won't be the only change they have to test in the update.
