VISA enforcing security code checks

Hmm recieved a letter today telling me that as from 1st June 2009 the security code checks will be required for all CNP transactions.

This makes no difference to me as we already do it, but it got me wondering how many people still dont, i recently purchased something and was not asked, cant remember who it was but it was an online purchase.

Do people here not ask even for telephone orders?

I also had the same letter (from Streamline) and was not even aware that it was possible to process a card (CNP) without a correct security check.
