    Protx Custom Templates

    Hey everyone,
Has anyone changed the VSP form pages to suit the style of their site?

I keep getting 'Failed the Saxon checks' when i send the templates off to protx.
My last one i sent and failed, i only changed 1 text label in the i18n.xml file, so to make sure i haven't changed any layouts in the .xslt files.

    What am i doing wrong?

Am i thinking the template zip file i downloaded from protx needs more attention that to just change text labels.

Unfortunately what Protx site says and what they accept are two different things. On their site, it gives instructions which lead you to think it's as easy as pie, but they're not too keen on accepting even the slightest of modifications.

Which 'text labels' did you change?

It was this one in the i18n.xml file, and i only added what is in bold.

I feel like sending them a same template i downloaded without any changes to see if they are having a laugh.

Just so i am not going mad, i have just sent a fresh downloaded copy to protx with no changes what so ever.

          Lets see what happens.

My view on this is probably the reason why they've kicked your templates out, in that, presumably, you are using Pre-Authorisation, hence why payments aren't taken there and then. If you change your Protx settings so that payments are taken immediately, the text label will still indicate that Pre-Authorisation is in use.

I would contact Protx Support and see if they have any form of variables available for use in their templates which allows you to offer code if pre-auth is activated or not. This seems the only solution IMO.

If you clarify the above, go for it

But in the email back, all it says is:

              Hi Paul

              Thank you for your email.

Your templates have failed the SAXON checks:

              Running Saxon to validate 3d_callback.xml......
Saxon could not validate the 3d_callback page
Saxon could not validate the 3d_redirect page
Saxon could not validate the card_details page
Saxon could not validate the authorisation page
Saxon could not validate the card_authentication page
Saxon could not validate the card_confirmation page
Saxon could not validate the card_selection page
Saxon could not validate the customer_email page
              The customer_email_text valid
Saxon could not validate the form_response page
Saxon could not validate the vendor_email page
              The vendor_email_text valid

We provide you with the SAXON tool within the template download that will allow you to check these yourself before sending them through to Protx.

Please rectify this issue and then return them back to templates@protx.com, ensuring you send a complete set of templates and not just the amended files.

              Kind Regards,

              Thomas

Which tells me this is something to do with xslt files.

Ummm, i think i will see what happens with this untouched template i have sent them.
