    PayPal & Tax (VAT)

I have a conflict with my PayPal settings and Actinic settings.

As a tax registered company all my UK supplies are taxabale including subscriptions and other 'service' fees, therefore in PayPal I have set up my profile that all transactions to UK entities are plus tax at the current 15% rate.

However, any order passed by Actinic to PayPal already has VAT added so you get a VAT+VAT scenario as well as a PSP error as the value in the cart doesn't match the value in the payment.

Meantime I've set PayPal taxation to 'off'.

    Hi,

Meantime I've set PayPal taxation to 'off'.
I think this would be right as you only want to add tax on in one place. You could turn tax off in Actinic but that would mean that your customers wouldn't see the price they have to pay until they went through to Paypal.

...so say perhaps I want to use PayPal for more than just Actinic transactions? That's a problem...
