I wonder if WP have the same clause in their contract. I'd imagine that a few people will be looking for alternatives in light of recent events.

As far as I'm aware, the £100 per annum package is the lowest cost entry point for a PSP service in the UK.

      Chris.
That might be true but the back end reporting with AP is so slow that IMO it's unusable.

Is anything being done about this?

I've switched one of my sites over to AP... the rest are on Protx. I have merchant accounts ready to switch the others over to AP but with AP it takes so long to do a bank-rec due to the sub-standard reporting that it would be foolish to go any further.

If only these issues could be sorted out AP would be a great system.

I'd really appreciate your comments on this.

        Thanks for the comments Dave.

Your points are noted. I was actually looking at the back end reporting last night with a view to getting some improvements, so your input is timely.

We got hit for six by Protx for going over the 'quarterly' limit twice, as the majority of sales are done through the second and third quarters. Wasn't our fault, we advised them on every aspect of our business but they still gave the recommendation of that package but we still broke the barrier. Turns out they'll do as the customer says, not as the boss said.
Our business is very seasonal and we up and down our AP contracts accordingly. It's a very effecticient and cost effective system for us. D

I tried to run an offline one last week and that sent me a nice email telling me it did not work.

but for the money AP has more features than Protx with regardless processing payments, 3rdman s about to be introduced (so i understand) the reporting has been the biggest complaint ever since it was launched
