Well if this is not sorted, I will be going to SECPay.(paypoint) who i have had no problems with on my other sites.
Saves me having lots of unhappy customers.
Is there a short term fix here?

    Thanks.

Good to know, thanks. Although who's still going to be around to use them?
And ftr, I don't think Actinic have put a foot wrong. The blame lies elsewhere >>>>>

Wayne, why SECPay. Have you looked at Actinic Payments?

          Hi,

I am investigating this urgently. This issue, as Wayne points out, has happened once before.

I confirm that no changes took place here over the weekend, I am also trying to look back historically as to what caused this issue last time.

I'll put any updates and fixes/recommendations up here

          Thanks,

          Joe

                  Hi,

                  Thanks, if you would please.

I just need to pass the message on to our Live Service team if their efforts have not fixed the problem.

                  Best wishes,

                    Hi,
We experienced the same issue as Posh Eyes, but just noticed that an order came in ok this time with 'pre-authorized'.

For a time line I checked back and for us the payment state changed on Thursday 7th between 12:20 & 13:28 give or take a few minutes.

                    regards

                    Steve.

                      Hi Joe,

I was one of those affected. Since around 1330 all seems to be working as advertised. Thanks for your support.

                        Joe

Since yesterday all seems to be back to normal and orders are now Pre-authorized (PSP) rather than Full Payment Received.

                        Thank you for your help.

                                Hi

My customers have been receiving an error message from sage pay when completing a transaction.
                                -------------------------------
                                error number - 2147483638

you have been charged for this transaction although the vendor may not be aware of this

trawling both the actinic and sagepay forums i found that the problem was sorted way back in 2007 and no ones mentioned it since.

I've looked in my OCCUpgrade.ini file:

I've spoke to both actinic and sage pay, who are both blaming each other.

but i believe that its a problem with sagepay, i'm now waiting for a reply from the sage pay support and forum.....(since 10am this morning)

Could any one help me on here, it would be greatly appreciated if anyone has knowledge of why this is happening.

Apparently our site has lots of traffic and we're planning on moving up to actinincs bigger/faster server

could our customers be receiving this message because our sites to busy?

Here is a post from the sage pay forum from 2007 when this issue was apparently fixed
                                ---------------------------------------------------------
                                Hi

I think we may have found what was causing the following error for some vendors using Actinic:

                                ---------------------------------------------------------------
Actinic Catalog - Transaction Completion Failure There was an error
                                contacting the Vendor Site.

An Error Has Occurred on this page!
                                The Error Number is: -2147483638
The Description given is: The data necessary to complete this operation
                                is not yet available.
Please contact protx about this error.

You have been charged for this transaction although the Vendor may not
be aware of this. Please contact the Vendor to inform them of this fact
                                on enquiries@anythingleft-handed.co.uk

Click below to return to the web site from which you purchased your
items and view your online invoice.
                                ---------------------------------------------------------------

This error was appearing at the end of the transaction process and meant that some order were not being updated in the order details within the Actinic software.

It seems as though there is a problem with the server side posting component we are using and some Apache web server setups. We have changed the component we are using and this now seems to have fixed the issue. if anyone that was receiving this error can keep an eye on this problem to let us know if they are still having issues I would be grateful.

                                Thanks,

                                Tony
