not so slick upgrade path actinic payments

hi, we are upgrading our actinic payments package from a one off annual fee for 800 transations to a monthly actinic 20 package.

You would think it would be easy!

I received an email today saying we have reached our annul limit and as such will be charge 39p per additional transaction.
Fair enough, lets upgrade to a better package, ring support.

We have to cancel the original package and then fill out a new application form and wait for this to be processed, up to 5 days. Those 5 days will be charged at 39p per transaction.

I thought it would be a smooth upgrade, just let me pay more and let us have more transactions please. I am expecting the worst, so have switched back to protx which we have on backup.

I do hope i don't get new transaction keys and other info to set up as well. We have had some problems with actinic payments in the last few months and confidence is not high.

      Hi,

Sorry but you have been mis-informed by support.

The upgrade process from Payments 100 to Payment 20 is very easy and can be activated the very next day.

Please e-mail on nbayton@actinic.co.uk and I will be happy to effect this change immediately.

      Kind regards

Does anybody know if failed / rejected payments count towards the 800 transactions per year on the Payments 100 package or do only successful
        payments get counted.

Darren, a settled authorisation counts as a transaction, as does a refund. Any pre-authorisation which does not get committed or authorisation which is voided does not count as a transaction.
