    HSBC secure epayments query

    Hi,

    Anyone using HSBC secure ePayments..
When a customer increases their order by email or phone, they want the amount taken on their card increased. This doesnt seem to be possible in ePayments. (you can do a partial refund easily enough) but how do you increase the amount taken?

If this cant be done, how do others deal with this problem of increasing the amount?

Don't think taking extra funds is allowed, maybe under other PSPs but not under HSBC ePayments. We were with HSBC until we moved to Actinic Payments this May.

What we generally do, irrespective of our PSP, is when a customer request addtional items, we simply create a new order via MOTO & take payment separately as per that order. This just keeps things tidy & we tend to discard delivery charges on the subsequent order as the items are going out together.

    Hope that helps.

I don't have experience of HSBC but with Actinic Payments you simply press the 'Pay' button in the 'Progress and Payments' tab and choose 'Same Card'
