    Actinic Payment/World Pay questions

We are looking to move over to WorldPay or Actinic Payments, and I was wondering if someone could confirm some things for me.

If I were to choose pre-authorise transations, would this allow us to not take payment until the goods are ready to ship - as we don't like charging customers before their goods are ready to be shipped out. If so, how is this controlled?

Is worldpay as easy to use as Actinic Pay? Basically the use of the actinic comit and pay buttons available in the actinic pay video?

Also, I assume it is as easy to set up as all of the other PSPs available to actinic?

We run an end of day with our stock system, that basically shows the total amount that should have been paid into the account that day. Do either world pay or actinic payments allow you to print of any sort of end of day report to see how much you have taken that day? Or anything similar?

    Thanks,

    Hello.

    Pre-authorise
A pre-authorise does the initial checks on the card (not stolen and enough money in the account) and puts a shadow on the account. The shadow usually lasts about 3-5 days. Committing the transaction will settle the amount, if this is done after the shadow has expired there can be a delay (I have been told this by my customers using other PSP's than Actinic Payments) and there can be an additional charge for the transaction (from your merchant acquirer not PSP).

    Ease of use
Actinic Payments will be easier and faster because of the integration. The 'pay', 'commit' etc buttons you have seen in our video are only available in Actinic Payments. It's the main reason to use the system.

    Set-up
All PSP's have a similar setup, it's very easy. Just add the PSP as a payment method in 'Business Settings' and put the information supplied by the PSP into the 'Configure method' window. The whole process can take from a week to as much as 4 weeks, the delay coming from your merchant provider (bank).

    Reports
Yes, using Actinic Payments you can get reports with the days totals and almost certainly with WorldPay and any other PSP.
