    Secure Trading back-up payment process for Payment Pages

    Is anyone familiar with the ST back-up payment process for Payment Pages?

    It seems that they're offering two alternate URLs through which to process payments if their main site is down:

    - https://pay2.securetrading.net/authorize/form.cgi
    - https://pay3.securetrading.net/authorize/form.cgi

    The Actinic interface to ST is packaged to that the target URL is hidden - ST Support suggest that this is contained within a Perl script.

    Could anyone advise if there is an end user friendly way to switch to using these URLs in the event of problems with the main gateway.

    Many Thanks,

    This thread becomes more relevant now that there is an upcoming predicted 30 minute outage caused by scheduled maintenance within Secure Trading's primary ISP, and that we as customers have been advised to temporarily change to their backup server when this maintenance occurs to ensure continuity of service.

    Right then:

    The PSP URL is contained in the OCCUpgrade.ini file. In the 'Secure Trading' section [OCCProvider:3], the following lines appear.

    ProviderURL='https://securetrading.net/authorize/'

    and

    DBProviderURL='https://securetrading.net/authorize/'

    Both those strings would have to be changed to either 'https://pay2.securetrading.net/authorize/' or 'https://pay3.securetrading.net/authorize/' in accordance with ST's guidance, and the changes uploaded.

    They would then need to be changed back to the original URL (and uploaded again) after the maintenance is complete.

    OCCSecureTradingScriptTemplate.pl doesn't contain any reference to the PSP URL, so there should be nothing to change there, and I can't see it anywhere else either.

    I can't remember whether you need to change something to force Actinic to upload the changed PSP files though. I seem to recall that in the distant past you had to change a number somewhere so that the files were uploaded. Hopefully someone more enlightened can advise accordingly.
