    PayPal Express problem

    Good morning.

Having problems setting up PayPal express, and I'm not sure if I am confused & doing something silly. (Not surprised if I am).
I have trawled the info I can find in the KB and here, and in the help files first, and not seemed to find anything that answers my query.

I have set up the business settings with the API signature details sent by PayPal:
    API Username
    API Password
    and the Signature.

However after uploading I get this error message when testing:
An error received from PayPal Pro Website Payments. Try again or select a different payment method. The error was: Security header is not valid.
One thing I'm not clear on is do I need SSL or not to use PayPal express and is this why I get the message?
We don't use PayPal pro, just Sage Pay (works fine) and the ordinary PayPal (works fine).

If I'm being dense or stoopid I apologize in advance, but I would appreciate being steered in the right direction. (Even if it is the dunces corner).

Cant help with the mechanics of setting up express, but i can confirm you dont need SSL.

you only need ssl for PP Pro.

Express is processed on PP servers, hence no need for SSL.

Thanks Jo, at least it eliminates one possible problem. So it's more than likely me being dopey. (What's new there)

        Resolution.

PayPal called & talked us through setting up their service which is now integrated with the Sage Pay "front end".
If they had told us in advance this would have saved many hours of stress and frustration, not to mention downtime on the website payments.
However compliments to the Actinic support team for their (successful) efforts to resolve a PSP integration problem.
