Actinic Payments Desktop Description

Is is possible to change the 'Desktop Description' for Actinic Payments because if I raise an offline order the payment method shown on the customers invoice is displayed as "Card payments through Actinic" which I would prefer to read as Credit/Debit Card as the customers will never have heard of Actinic.

I have gone to the 'Payment & Security' tab in Buisness Settings (V9.0.5) but the field is not editable.
I guess a search through the Access database might give me an editable field but I would be concerned that changing it through access might have consequences.

I thought the website description field was editable on all payment methods, are you sure you're looking at the right column? How strange if you can't.

On my screen some options have a grey background and are not editable and some on a white background which can be edited.
I am sure some of the greyed out entries have been edited in the past.

This is correct as it is because Actinic Payments Ecommerce is for Web Site only and Actinic Payments CNP/MOTO is for Desktop only. The relevant uneditable portions are greyed out.

Customers will not see this however -the Web Site Description is editable.

I believe desktop description is displayed on the invoice of offline orders (well it is on mine anyway)

Could the invoice report be edited to change only ever display the website description. I have a copy of Crystal Reports V8.5 although not found time to learn how to use it yet.

Yes can probably do that or hard code it in the report to display selectively for that payment method.

IIRC, I editted it in the database table at some point in the past (so it appears better worded on the invoice)

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, I think i will give editing the description in the database a try, backing everything up fully before doing so just in case.

You'll find it in the PaymentMethods table, nID 950 & 951, in sDescription & sMOTODescription.
