You might want to check your website if you are with Lloyds TSB or RBS as Sage pay is currently down. They are 'aware of the problem'. Worst possible time really, being the start of the weekend.

I have orders failing all over the place, you would think they would have a contingency plan for these occassions

Quick and dirty fix - stick PayPal on your site until problem is fixed. Put SagePay back on when it's working again.
