    Paypal Express bypassing delivery

    v9.0.5

    On the standard Cart 0 page you can not progress to the invoice page until you select shipping destination. With PayPal Express installed the new button appears but you are allowed to progress without selecting the shipping destination which works out the carriage. At the moment people can progress to checkout without any carriage being added.

    Am I missing something here? I have the option to capture later applied as per the help file.

    Is anyone using PayPal Express Checkout on their site I can take a look at and see if working the same as mine?

    Support suggested the shipping rates are set within PayPal but I have checked and unable to see anything and did not expect to see anything as it would be too complex with the shipping by weight and country options etc.

      Customer of mine was raving about this solution a week or so ago, his address is http://www.performancemotorcare.com/ it was mentioned at the v11 conference apparently. Hopefully he has noticed this loophole if indeed it is one. He has free uk delivery though so maybe never suffers it.

        If it worked the same way as the standard "next" button on Checkout Page 0 not allowing progress until country is selected it would be fine. It also adds the button in at view cart level which is the page before the country is requested!

        This has to be something with my installation as this can not be right. I have tried on 3 sites in v9.0.5 all with the same effect on bypassing the delivery option.

        Support now have the ACD but any other input still welcomed.

          Performance Motors pings back and populates the shipping when I set delivery as Australia under PayPal - so looks like it is something with my setup

            Does anyone have any suggestions about this?

            It has been 7 days with support and all I have is "Im [sic] working on this issue at the moment and will get back to you with a solution."

                  I have just been told this is a usability issue in v10 with no work around and will be fixed in future releases. This is despite submitting a v9 snapshot and the functionality being in place in v9 for over 3 years
