I've checked to make sure and using PayPoint as PSP, Global Payments Merchant Account (was HSBC) and HSBC bank account, payments are credited to the bank account the following day.

It sounds to me like a streamline thing.
Here's something from their "it's time your business accepted cards" brochure.
INCREASED CASHFLOW
• Payment at the time of the sale
• Faster payment – trade terms specifying payment within
30, 60 or 90 days replaced by payment to your bank
account typically within 4 days – you do not have to bank
with NatWest or The Royal Bank of Scotland

Edit: Strangely this thread suggest people using PROTX/streamline are being paid the next day http://dropshipforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=8156. The only time you should see extra delays is over the weekend.-----------------------------------------
