Paypal Express not Working - does anybody else have this problem?

Hi - I have set-up Paypal Express on a v11.0.0 website and have a problem in that no order summary information is shown when you go to the Paypal screens. On the same site, using normal Paypal Website Payments, this information is shown correctly

Axtinic support have replicated this issue using their default site1 but have not got an answer to the problem as they believe it is due to changes made by Paypal. This is the reply from Actinic:

I have done some testing with a default pay pal express checkout account and
can re product the issue on a default account. From here we cannot tell if
this is working as designed or not. However we did fine that this issues is
being reported on other forums with different ecommerce software so this is
looking like to be a pay pal issue as this seems to be something new they
    have implemented.

Please see the following link I have found on this but there are other
    instances of this.

    http://forums..com/topic/378802-payp...order-summary/

I think you will need to contact pay pal in this instance to see if they
have been getting issues like this being reported.
Is there anybody out there using Paypal Express on their site and is it working?
    Regards
    David

For anyone who is interested this is the reply I have had from Actinic support:

Our development team have said that the feature was never implemented in pay pal express checkout and surely never worked. They have created a bug for this and will fix for the next release of our software.

Just wondered if anyone had a solution to this yet as we have the same problem.

The previous posters suggest it's a problem with PayPal because numerous carts available are experiencing this however our situation is contradictory to that.

Our Actinic based site Shower Enclosures UK doesn't pass the order summary to Paypal yet our Shopify based account Bathroom Mirrors Uk does. Both feed into the same account, one business being a trading name of the other. I've now removed the PayPal button on the first site so as not upset customers.

      So any ideas anyone?

Hi Dean - as I said previously Actinic stated that this is a bug in Actinic. Actinic obviously don't see this as being important as I'm still awaiting a fix 4 months later.

One of the many reasons I an reviewing alternative carts at the moment.

Hi David - I hear what you're saying. I think Actinic definitely has it's place being a desktop app but I've also been impressed with online offerings like Shopify considering the low cost and also the feature set of the free Prestashop is very good.

Probably not the right place for this discussion, just hope the PayPal Express issue is resolved sometime soon.

Problem with Pay Pal Express Checkout ( V9.0.5)

I also have a problem with paypal express checkout, the cart transfers to paypal however when it has to confirm the payment with my site it gets stuck and eventually produces a proxy server error.
I've refreshed the actinic.pm file and reverted the checkout script URL file to factory settings but still the problem doesn't go away.

            Can any one help?

              likewise

you and me alike Peter. Acinic won't help as they say version 10 is no longer supported and they keep reverting me to HTTP1.1 script which I've done....twice for good measure!

Did you get anywhere? I've had to put paypal into test mode so as not to scare off any customers
