If you are using UPG plc / SecureHosting as a payment service provide (PSP) in SellerDeck, you may have received the following email from them:
Dear ,
You must take action now.
As per our previous communication with you, we are in the process of adding a new datacentre to our technical infrastructure to further increase our system resiliency and capacity. With the majority of customer integrations to our payment platform this will require no change of configuration, but in some circumstances it may require you to make changes to your system. Please read on for more details.
What does the addition of another datacentre mean?
It means we will be adding additional IP address ranges for the secure website you use to take transactions (via hosted form or API). Your traffic will be automatically directed to either datacentre location via our DNS services so you need not worry about that.
However, if you make use of our “callback” service you may need to add the additional IP address to your systems or firewall. The call back system returns status and information on each transaction you process. The callback is made from our datacentre to your website or server.
How will this impact you?
If you have any code or firewall rules that allow access either to or from our systems you will need to update them to support our new datacentre. Otherwise you may find that the callback that we send gets blocked by your firewall, website or servers.
What do you need to do?
If you have firewall rules configured to allow access to our systems and/or to allow us to make a callback to your servers you will need to add the new IP addresses for our additional datacentre to these existing rules.
Our current active datacentre uses the following IPs
www.secure-server-hosting.com DNS address for sending transactions: 82.147.13.50
IP addresses call-backs come from: 82.147.13.36
Our new additional IPs are
www.secure-server-hosting.com DNS address for sending transactions: 46.231.191.144
IP addresses call-backs come from: 46.231.191.130
We expect this change to impact a small minority of merchants, so it is unlikely to affect you.
We recommend you pass this letter on to your technical specialist who will be able to confirm if you need to make any changes.
If you have any questions, please call our support department on 0845 269 6645 and we will be happy to help you.
