    Sage Pay Server Integration

Hi, just re-looking at advantages/disadvantages of SagePay and looking at the forum there seemed to be an issue in the past with Server Integration with Sellerdeck. Is this still the case?

I can't see Sellerdeck on the Partners list.

    From Sage Pay site

"For greater control and flexibility in managing your online transactions consider the Sage Pay with Server, Server & inFrame or Direct integration options."

    Hi David,

    Have you considered Actinic Payments?

      Dear Chris,

Yep Actinic payments is right up there, am just reavaluating the options. The previous question about Sage Pay server integration seemd to say that inframe was not allowed but it was not clear if server was. The liink on sage pay goes to their patrner page, which has products like ekm powershopper and other asp/php solutions, but no sign of Sellerdeck,

Given the API changes in Sellerdeck 2013 I wasn't sure if Server /inframe was an option, or if Sellerdeck is just restricted to the form integration.

I don't actually know the answer to that question although hopefully some others on here will.

You can either use a separate page (run by Creditcall) or an iFrame on your site with Actinic Payments.

It's just important to remember that in the latter case you must make sure that you have your own SSL certificate on your site. This would also apply to Sagepay if you can use an iFrame with them.

          Hi Chris,

assume that the page hosted by credit call is the standard one and that you can edit that stylesheet as per instructions which I haven't found yet in the knowledge base.

But with regard to creditcall and Iframe a search looks like they/you have removed that. Not that I was going there. Just trying to work out what the sagepay server thing meant.

But looking at Actinic Payments in greater detail then I think you need to really enforce a difference now between Actinic Payments and Sellerdeck Payments, becuase the advertised rates for best service for Actinic Payments is 16p per transaction, versus 6p for Sellerdeck Payments. But all your references with Sellerdeck help are to Actinic Payments. Anyone new coming in that doesn't know that Actinic is now a different company are going to find those higer charges with a google search.

"CreditCall are removing the ability to present the payment page within an iFrame on a web site, running in an iFrame has been allowed, though not encouraged, but it's possible that it may become something frowned upon.

This will have no impact on AP users as we are not aware of any customers who have custom built their payment pages to use AP within an iFrame."

            Yes, that's confusing.

            To clarify:

            - an iFrame can be used with Actinic Payments. Creditcall have reversed their stance on this

            - the CSS and images can be changed for Actinic Payments whether an iFrame or the page hosted by Creditcall are used. These can either be hosted at your own site (but must be under an SSL certificate) or by SellerDeck on their secure site

            - the correct pricing for SellerDeck customers using Actinic Payments can be found on the SellerDeck site

            - we will be making some changes in the next few months to resolve the confusion in the naming of the payments product

            Hope that all makes sense.

            Chris

any reason why clarifying things would take a few months, surely re-writing a couple of paragraphs could be done in a day or so.

The clarity is if you buy Actinic Payments through SellerDeck you are a SellerDeck customer and pay one price. If you buy through Actinic/Oxatis you are their customer and pay a different price.

I can't pre-announce any other changes as they aren't finalised yet, but will do so as soon as we can.
