Orders going to pending despite being paid

Hi
I had one order with an error saying order number too short, went to pending even though payment was valid.

Since that all are going to pending, customers get a server error message and no confirmation email.

Paypal and Paypal cards affected

I have had to suspend orders, raised a support ticket but so far no fix, costly problem.

Any ideas

It's not something I recognise so all I can suggest is the usual site refresh and maybe a bit of investigation to see where the problem is.

so:

1. Do a site refresh.
2. Look at the order numbers before and after the problem. are they the same format / length?
3. Did you make any changes in the days leading up to the problem?

It is very odd and it kind of looks as if sellerdeck has got itself confused.

I can see a lot of info in your logs for the orders ending 34149 and 34150 where you've been trying to test the payments but it seems to be repeating itself with the sequences intertwined. The order number itself looks OK.

I would try a 'compact and repair' followed by a site refresh.

It is now fixed, apparently PayPal changes to webhook parameters wasn't matching my older 18.12.
support thankfully have fixed my occ file

That's interesting. I'm still on 18.0.6 but I did update my OCCPayPal.pl file a few months back to see if it fixed a different problem.

Maybe that's why I'm not seeing the same problem but I'd be surprised if there weren't a few other people using older versions..

I was a little worried as the first thing I asked support was if there were others, thought there must be a few with PayPal on early V18 versions.
