how does it look on your screen

I have found my site (below) looks odd on some screens / browsers with strange spacing causing text to drop down a line and so on, the worst example is astronomy news where the first fragment layout throws the image under the text - the layout is identical on all the fragments on that page.

The pc I edit from is IE8 and non widescreen looking fine...

PS: Its a fixed width site so should not really do this...

    opinions appreciated?

    thanks

I know the site is a funny colour

LOL Ed, that's like saying 'does my face look pretty today, ignore the aubergine i've accidentally superglued to my nose'. Looks normal to me though.

thanks Lee - I went for fixed width to avoid the wierdness of dynamic sizing but I am to blame for the colour

Have you got an example of browser/res where you think it looks odd?

Thanks, the res on the problem screen is 1024 x 768 but on a different screen at the same res is fine.

            The browsers are IE8

I can't see any sizing issue with IE8 or FF.

It seems the culprit maybe this machine - from all your comments (thanks).

It is IE8 at 1024x768 and XP withy only built in graphics, reinstalled the browser and still horrible.

I'm relieved as the spacing issues do bug me!
