Customer Example Links in SERPs link to Untrusted SSL

    Actinic Towers,

A change has recently occured to the way your customer example pages appear in Google SERPs.

When someone searches for a company who is in your Customer Examples, the SERPs no longer link to http://www.actinic.co.uk/whatever... they link to an IP address URL which forwards the user to an untrusted SSL URL.

While this isnt a problem for my business/website per se, a user could search for a company who is in your Customer Examples, see the Actinic link and click it, and could then come to the conclusion that the said website they are researching is the company who is running untrusted SSL certs, rather than it being the Cart provider who is running the untrusted cert. Most users researching a company prior to making a purchase will not appreciate the difference.

Hope you can get it back to the way it was, with straightforward http://www.actinic.co.uk URLs appearing in the SERPs.

That's one of Actinic's IPs. Interesting that it shows up in the serps, an as https.

      Yes its definately weird.

Their pages rank quite well, bang inbetween yahoo answers and reviewcenter reviews on the 1st page serps for my business name (which id rather not have mentioned on a crawlable forum page about untrusted SSL)

a quick snippet of code to the .htaccess file will sort that out.

Thank you for highlighting this, I going to investigate what has caused this to happen and see if I can get it resolved.

          Regards
