    Alterations for google

    Hi all

Just read the new details from google on product feeds and it looks like i need to have a seperate page for each yarn in each colour to meet there new variants requirements. Question is is it essential to stick to the 3 click rule from the home page? The only way I can see to meet the requirements is to add a seperate subsection for each variant with the product in. For example DK Yarn King Cole / King Cole Mirage / then a separate product for each shade. But this will mean 4 clicks from the home page.

Any advise, is there a better way of achieving this?

    Thanks

    Vickie

The best way is to have the colour variants as a drop down option on a single page.

The fast way is to do this and just submit the main product to google feed.

If you want to submit each colour separately then you need to create a hidden product for each option and assign each hidden product to the relevant option.

With the new colour and size attributes available in google shopping you can also pass details of the options through into google if you specify just one product which should give you better results.
