    Google Seller Ratings

    I am not currently a Feefo user but may be in the future when I move to V10/V11 and if/when Google start to use Feefo reviews in their Google Seller Ratings.
    Until that happens I would like to start building up a google seller rating by adding a link to a review site in the Order Shipped emails, but am not sure which one to use as there are several to choose from.

    TrustPilot looks like a reasonable option but I would be interested to hear if others have personal favourites they would recommend.
    I guess that unless you pay you have no right of reply but I am happy to take that risk.

    Good Morning,

    We use Trustpilot, to get it to work with Actinic you will need to have the order shipped email blind copied to Trustpilot and for this you will need to drop Norman a line at Drillpine who modified a script for us.

    Easy to do and works very well, we used to run a competition for customers to win something in return for a review on the review centre but Trustpilot works much better and is all handled for you, plus they protect you against reviews from people who have not purchased from you, so each review is by a real customer.

    I know it costs, but what doesnt now, and Google does pick up the reviews so is a big plus.
    Many Thanks

      I was considering using TrustPilot but not with the full paid version and would simply add a link in the order shipped email to the review site myself rather than pay for TrustPilot to send ou the emails.

      I think some customers will be put off as TrustPilot require reviewers to sign up with a valid email address and password.

        I think that when you pay for Trustpilot the customer does not need to sign up when leaving the review as it has come through via an email request so they follow the link (but could be wrong) the other plus point for signing up is that the invitation is set to automatically ask for a review a few days after the shipped email is sent and they give you a code to show the Trustbox on your site.

        The other option is to set up Google checkout, we dont have many people use it, but those that do get the email from G to ask for a review that also gets used, could be anotehr way to go.
        Many Thanks

          Indigo Herbs also seem to be using TrustPilot. See http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=49431

          They're also a case study on the TrustPilot website with a 22% increase in conversion rate. http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/Business/Testimonials

          PS. If you call TrustPilot to ask about the price. Be sure to mention that you use Actinic and are also considering Feefo.

            Hi,

            I have just signed for a month's free trial of Trustpilot.

            The reviews are coming as TP said they would, so far so good.

            However, the cut and paste code does not want to work.

            It is fine before it is uploaded, but then 'acatalog' is added in the javascript code which prevents it from displaying the widget:

            Here is the code before upload -

            <!-- Trustpilot Widget Script -->

              Try splitting
              .trustpilot.com
              up to be
              .trustpilot"+".com
              In both instances

                Thanks Duncan, I have tried that but it still appears to be adding the /acatalog

                So annoying when I can see it working on other Actinic sites

                  There does seem to be a problem here. Indigo herbs were asking for some help with this back in February, although I'm not sure if that thread solved the problem or not. See http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?p=315090

                  This is the code they now use. I'm sure you could adapt it to your own site. As with any bit of code picked up on the internet, always best to ask them if they mind you using it first.

                  <script type="text/javascript">
                  var tpLang = "en-GB";
                  var tpSpeak = "man";
                  var tpJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl" : "http://trustbox");
                  document.write(unescape("%3Cscript defer='defer' src='https://ssl.trustpilot.com/w/indigo-herbs.co.uk.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E"));
                  document.write(unescape("%3Clink href='https://ssl.trustpilot.com/widget.css' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'%3E%3C/link%3E"));
                  </script>
                  It looks as if they're just creating the full url by hand rather than using the tpJsHost variable (and using ssl by default). Actinic doesn't mess with full urls.

                    The answer is to put the script inside html comments,
                    Code:
                    	<script type="text/javascript">
                    	<!--
                    		var tpLang = "en-GB";
                    		..........................................
                    		document.write(unescape("%3Clink href='" + tpJsHost + ".trustpilot.com/widget.css' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'%3E%3C/link%3E"));
                    	//-->
                    	</script>
                    Actinic now leaves it alone, as it does with the Google Analytics code.
