    Shipping by weight problem

I have shipping by weight set up, but if a customer buys more than one item, actinic does not appear to add up the weight correctly.
EG i have a torch at .4 kg and shiping special delivery set at:- up to .5kg = £4.75, up to 1kg = £6.00 up to 2kg £7.75
if customer buys one they get charged £4.75 - correct! if they buy two they get charged £6.00 again correct, but then it all goes belly up if they order 3 they get charged £12.00! (3x .4kg = 1.2kg should be £7.75) they get charged £12.00 for 4 or 5 as well then it jumps to £18.00 for sending 6
    whats going on?

Gotta be set up wrong i think, can you provide some screenshots, check your excess charges and optimal package weights not used. You should also check you are on uncached info, in fact whats the url?

First screenshot shows 'optimal weight' selected, get rid of it. 3 gifts at 0.4 is 1.2 and therefore over your optimum.

              That's great news, my pleasure.
It really is worth taking 5 mins to do some screenshots with shipping problems, it makes things so much easier to solve. That could have taken hours to solve without them, instead just a couple of minutes.
A good idea for anyone with shipping problems i think.
