Restricting products to zones

Hi

I'm just setting up my first Actinic shop (8.5.1) and I've been reading up on the various shipping methods. A simple categories approach seems to fit very neatly except that all my products are going to be available in the UK only, (two classes), apart from books which can be sent worldwide. I understand from the posts/help/manuals etc that products cannot be excluded from shipping classes but can they be excluded from shipping zones?

I'm afraid development have come back saying this is one for the wish list. They say that it if shipping is allowed to non-uk conutries then its not possible to prevent certain products from being shipped there.

Set shipping by weight.

Products that you don't want to ship internationally should be assigned a weight that is too heavy for your international shipping table.
