Shipping Question

Hi

I use a very basic shipping method based on the value of the product (motorbike helmets) we send. However occasionally we sell gloves that although may be expensive are very cheap to send (unlike helmets). Is there an easy way of specifying that any gloves sold individually are charged at a fixed price regardless of weight or value while maintaining the value related shipping charges in place for helmets?

Hi,

Unfortunately, the 'Exclude from shipping band calculation' box on the 'Details' tab of the product does not work when the calculation basis is 'Value'. One way around this would be to use the 'weight' basis and set the weight for each product to be the same as the product price (ie 1kg = £1) to give the effect of using the 'value' basis. That way you could use the 'Exclude from shipping band calculation' on your glove products and set a shipping supplement for them. I hope that helps.
