Shipping extra charge

Hi Everyone,

Very new to this forum so please accept my apologies if this question is vague.

Our online actinic store is fairly simple as follows

UK - Free shipping (via quantity, any is 0 cost)
Rest of EU - Charged (via Values)
Rest of World - Charged (via Value)

This is working well for us but one product needs a higher shipping charge. The trouble is that UK still needs to be free for this item.

Is there any way to configure Actinic to add this charge only for EU and ROW?

I would do this by changing to shipping by weight.

You then set the weight of each product to match the value and setup the shipping tables as before. So what you're doing is using the weight as a proxy for the value.

Then for any exceptional items, you just change the weight to set that product into a different shipping band.

PS. you may be able to do this using categories but I've no experience with these so can't hep there.

ok i had something similar with shipping methods that items could be sent by i did it the way mike suggested by using weight to set the bands. This thread here has a break down on what i did http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=35622
