    Custom Shipping and handling prices

    Good evening all,
I've been searching the forums to the answer to my specific question, but I can't find anything that seems to answer my question.

All the Shipping and Handling costs are controlled using the KG basis in zone\class. Up until now this has worked well for me.

I have about 4 products that require specialist couriers which have a much higher tariffs.
    Basically they charge the following.

Upto 20KG, (regardless of numbers) they charge a flat fee of £15.00 +VAT, anything over 20KG is £23.00 +VAT. To get round this I excluded the four items from this.
Within the product\details menu. I checked the exclude from shipping band calculation and added the fixed fee of £18.51. This I thought would work. What I've discovered is that if someone orders only one of these products, no problems. However if more than one product is selected it add's £18.51 for each item.

Has anyone any ideas how to set up a custom Shipping and handling charge that only charges £15.00 +VAT upto 20KG and 23.00 +VAT for over 20KG regardless of numbers. I have all the weights of all my products configured within actinic.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated..

You have 2 choices, 'category' based shipping (details in the inbuilt help). Or give these products a very high weight taking them completely outside of your existing matrix (make sure you set 'no excess' on that matrix) and then set up a new set of tiers that caters for these very high weights (make sure the weight is double anything you think anyone will ever buy as a collective purchase) and you will have a separate charging matrix (specialist courier service) which you can set accordingly.

Customers when they buy these products will not get offered the standard options, only the one that the weight of their cart can cater for.

PS - there's a forum specifically for shipping, where your post has been duly moved to.
