Actinic v10 Cash On Delivery shipping

Situation:
We provide 2 payment options for US customers:
1. Paypal
2. Cash on Delivery

We provide 2 shipping methods for US customers:
1. Cash On Delivery = 11.50$
2. USPS = 6.60$

Customer choose Cash on Delivery payment method, but he still can see both shipping methods at the next stage of the checkout. Sometimes we receive COD with USPS shipping.
Is there a way to restrict shipping method by payment type?

I don't think you can restrict shipping methods by payment type.

You could potentially use some javascript to try and only display the relevant shipping type but I'm not sure how well that would work. The problem is that the delivery method is chosen before the payment option.

I would probably set it up differently.

- Have a standard delivery charge of $6.60
- Set up a $4.90 surcharge for COD payments.
- Change the text for 'surcharge' to say 'Extra for COD Delivery' or similar.

Now customer can choose "COD" shipping method, but pay by Credit Card and in this case surcharge is not working.

As Mike said, there isn't an idea way to do this as you can't restrict this way in Actinic.

Best you can do is offer something like Mike has suggested and 'fix' those orders where customers have made blatant errors
