Turning off Next Day Shipping

We currently offer two shipping methods - Free 1st Class Delivery and Next Day Delivery available at extra cost.

Due to my wife going back to work there are now a few days when we can't offer next day delivery. At the moment we have to delete the next day shipping option from Business Settings and upload the site, then add it back in and upload again the following day.

Can anyone think of a better way of doing this, maybe using a flag set in site settings to limit the shipping options?

Probably the best way is to remove it from the option list in Javascript. This way you could create a list of either dates or days when you want to disable it.

I did think about that but there is currently no pattern to which days we would have to turn it off. We only find out the week before.
