Actinic v10 Shipping Help

Hi Guys

Very new to this so as much help as possible would be greatly appreciated.

I am struggling to setup the shipping prices for my goods.

I want to do it very simply, I want to have two shipping prices for each product I sell, one would be International Signed For AirSure price, and the other would be Signed For Recorded UK.

I can goto the post office and get all the products priced according to the service, what im struggling to do is work out how to put this into actinic.

Im not the best at computers and if there is someone I could hire to set it up for me that would be ideal.

I'm by no means an expert, but I've managed to get my shipping about 95% correct. On the assumption that you have a variety of products at differing weights & wish to charge accordingly;

Go to Business Settings, Shipping & Handling,

At the top of the window, ensure that "shipping charges made" is ticked & that you have your VAT settings correct

On the Configuration tab, select "by zone & class"

For the basis select "weight in Kg"

On the zone & class tab, right click in the left hand pane & select "new class" & create classes for the delivery methods you want to use.

When you have your classes created, right click on one of your new classes & click "add zone", then "new zone". Once you have created a zone, you will then be able to add weights & prices into the right hand pane using whatever pricing you want - you can use the pricing here to cover packaging costs here if you wish. Add appropriate zones to all you classes

Other than that, you will have to enter product weights on the product/details tab - If you are weighing actual product, remember to inflate the weight slightly to cover for packaging weight.

Most Royal Mail services have quite a number of weight bands - you obviously don't have to use all of these & can create your own set of reduced bands, it may also be worth considering creating European & Rest of the World classes for airmail as the prices do differ.
