Can Product Options Change Shipping Costs

We're setting up our products so that you can have optional product options of "In a frame", "In a case" and "In a deluxe case".

The cost of shipping the product is variable, depending on which country it is going to.

Similarly, the cost of shipping will change if you add a frame or a case..... and it will be different depending on which country it is going to.


Any thoughts on how I could achieve this? Preferably without using associated products as there are thousands of products to apply this to.

Or am I asking too much?

I'd have a single hidden product for each of frame types with associated weights applied, you then copy paste these selections onto each product, but maintain the weight and costs all from within one hidden product.
