    Click and drop paperwork

About to start click and drop as we are all forced to barcoded mail...

I understand a manifest has to be presented when dropping off at a post office

Is there any tag or paperwork that needs to be physically attached to the mail bags?

    Thank you

To be clear, Ed, is this the Royal Mail Click & Drop as opposed to the Post Office Drop & Go scheme?

If so, then yes. You need a tag completed with some details (consignment number, poster address and type of mail) which is secured to the bag using a cable tie 1st Class mail is red and 2nd Class is green. You obtain them through your Royal Mail online account along with mail bags; cable ties; 6x4 labels etc

You also need a manifest which is an A4 report that details how many bags and what type of mail is in each bag. The manifest is produced by Click & Drop when you've uploaded your CSV file and confirmed postage.

I do pretty much as Goz says.

I put my account number on the red tag rather than my address. Other than that it's the same although I produce my labels one at a time manually rather than uploading a CSV file. And I just staple my manifest to the red tag. Royal Mail should scan the barcode on the manifest when you hand it over.

Thanks Mike, that's how I do it with OBD at present, I'm going to stay manual to now as there are too many errors from customers
