    First Time Upload Test

An error occurred while sending the merge request when
    uploading in TEST mode

There is no other associated message.

When I click on the TEST button in Production mode, I get:

Actinic is not able to run the CGI scripts on the server. It appears as if the scripts are not installed. The most likely cause is that you have an incorrect CGI-BIN URL. If you've never uploaded the site, then you should do it before a download of orders. If you've uploaded the site ever, then Run Web | Configure Web Site Details... to review your web site configuration.

I assumed that this means that the scripts were not uploaded which is what
I was trying to do in Test Mode. I also got this message:

The web server returned error code 404 - Requested URL not found. This means Actinic can not execute the CGI scripts on your web site. Run Web | Configure Web Site Details... to check the web setup.

This is a Windows Virtual server and it looks like this:

    /html/cgi-bin
    /secure_html/cgi-bin

Actinic was able to upload files to both of these cgi-bin directories, so
I know for sure that they do exist. Here is my Network Settings:

    Standard
    *******
    Path to CGI-BIN: html/cgi-bin/

    SSL
    ***

    Path to CGI-BIN: secure_html/cgi-bin/

The problem happens whether Passive FTP selected or not.

I have setup the Email Settings, but that's as far as I've gone with
email at this time (no forms etc..). Could this be a problem?

Proxy Settings are at none. Zone Alarm has been set to allow complete
    access.

If you need more information, please email me at sales@prochecksports.com

    Thanks in advance.

    Solution found

When I filled in the information for Network Setup, I incorrectly assumed
that "Catalog URL" only required the webname.com and that the
acatalog/ path would be picked up from the "Path From CGI-BIN to
acatalog Directory since this value is ./acatalog/. The same thing happened
for the cgi-bin & for both the STANDARD setup & SSL setup.

    Thanks
