The Input is NULL error - FYI

This is for everyone's info only, so if I've posted this in the wrong place,
    please let me know.

A tester received "A General Script Error Occurred" error and
    Error: The input in NULL

After reviewing mounds of material on this site, it all pointed to a Microsoft error when using Internet Explorer. The only problem was that this error ocurred with Netscape 7.2. The script was /cgi-bin/cm000001.pl. The tester would save an order and close Netscape & when Netscape was reopened, this error would happen. The solution was difficult to find, but it was a simple problem. Netscape was set to open at "Last Page Visited" which was the above. After changing it to "Blank Page", no error occurred.

I don't think there's anything which can be done to prevent this based on what the tester did, but it is certainly something which everyone should be aware of because this is something which can happen often. Thanks

What is happening in this case is that Netscape is going back to the last page, which was the result of a posted form. But Netscape is not sending any data back to the web site when it goes back and posts the form again. It really is sending null when Actinic expects data.

One of the old threads has a mod to pretty up the error. I still have that installed.
