    Problem on intial upload

    Hi

I'm trying to upload a store to a test site www.achroma-test1.co.uk but get the error message 'connection to server was reset' every time I try to upload it.
I only set up the dummy site over the weekend (05.02.05) but I can access and upload to it using Dreamweaver okay.

I've uploaded a store before www.coolvision.co.uk and had no problem that time and it's hosted by the same company.

It must be something simple, but is it Actinic or could it be a problem with my hosting company 'webfusion'

    Thanks
    David

I don't recognise the error message but you could try enabling passive ftp.

          Hi

I've changed the settings as described but still no luck.

I've also tried to access the site via smartftp and keep getting chucked off so maybe I'll have to wait a little longer yet.

I'll try again tomorrow and see what's what, if still no luck I'll try Webfusion direct.

          Thanks

            Hi David,

If you have used smartftp and cannot access the server, then this means there is something wrong with the server. It's possible they are upgrading the server.

              Hi

I got lots of help from Gary Hay but it seems the server wan't configured yet as the site was only a couple of days old. It's up and running now and just needs a few tweeks here and there.

I've got a rollover menu for section selection but can't seem to get rid of the gaps between the buttons. Any ideas anyone?

                Hi there

I've got a rollover menu for section selection but can't seem to get rid of the gaps between the buttons. Any ideas anyone?
Whats the address of the website so I can have a look?

Sometimes the gaps between the buttons can be caused by the comented out html in the navigation templates.

So you could try removing that from Act_navigationitem.html and act_navimage the html that appears within <!-- and --> tags, this may sort out the gaps between the buttons on overall layout of the shop.

Also, you could try the same on the follwing templates which may remove the gaps from brouchure pages...act_brouchurenavitem.html, act_brouchuredisablednavitem.html and act_brouchurenavimage.html.

All of these templates are found within the site1 folder.

Also try going to Design | Options | Miscellanious, and checking Compact HTML/CGI if it isnt already checked.

                Hope that helps

Have you tried removing the commented out html from the navigation templates?

                      Hi
                      tried removing the tags.
Got a warning message but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
Not a major problem, just a niggle.
