    Site not being spidered ?

We are in the process of setting our site up and realise we have a lot of SEO work to do before we can obtain any rankings within search engines.

We have noticed we do appear on google & msn but they appear to be unable to spider the site correctly. Within the forum we found this link to follow to see how our site is being spidered

    http://www.searchengineworld.com/cgi-bin/sim_spider.cgi

If we look at any other actinic site using the above simulator ie http://www.4-motorcycles.co.uk
you will see the links shown to products / sections

however, if you look at www.ybuy.org.uk none of our links are shown

Does anybody have any idea why not ?

    Any help would be appreciated.

You navigation menu goes via the cgi-bin to allow actinic to display the corrct prices for customer accounts. This can cause problems with some search engines (although google will follow them).

If you don't use customer accounts then you can disable this and it should fix the menus (I'm not sure on this).

The other thing you should think of doing is publishing the sitemap and linking to it from the home page. This will help the search engines find all your pages.
