Demon - can anybody recommend them for V7 SSL hosting

Having recently purchased V7 we've been trying to get the site live with one of our ISP's - Cheapnet. However between them and Actinic support we can't get the SSL side working.

SO it's time to move on and since we also have DEMON as a provider we are looking at them hosting the site which they say they can do - but posts in these forums suggest it might be problematic.

IS any body out there running V7 using SSL on Demon servers - without any problems??

Thanks for any thoughts - Martin

When you say SSL, are you talking about your own dedicated SSL certificate assigned to your domain name, or shared SSL?

If shared SSL, then the answer is dont know, but with own SSL cert it is no harder getting Actinic to work with demon servers than it is on non SSL enabled hosting accounts.

We have had to connect some customers sites to demon servers where we have worked on the design of the customers site, and in each case we have had to play with the settings on each occasion, with not one ever being the same for some reason, but it can be done, just takes a bit of setting playabouts...

If shared ssl, then would definately find someone who has done this with demon, as it is problematic at the best of times.

An alternative might be to use the Actinic Shared SSL solution maybe: http://www.4surehosting.co.uk/hostin...ared_ssl.shtml
