    Problems Uploading To Webspace

    Hi All,

Ive prepared screenshots which can be found here www.southcoastsuppliesonline.co.uk please can someone take a look and tell me where im going wrong as im not sure if my webspace provider has to set permissions or its something im doing wrong.

    Thanks in advance

The most obvious thing is your web address http://ftp....
    Start from that point..

Hi and thanks for the replys.
Ive tried changing the web site address from http://www.ftp.southcoastsuppliesonline.co.uk/ to http://www.southcoastsuppliesonline.co.uk/ but im still getting the exact same error. I contacted my webspace provider and the only thing they thought looked strange was the web site address also.

This means I really am stuffed as I have no where else to turn

      Thanks
      Alex

If your web root directory is /var/www/html then try setting the cgi-bin as /var/www/html/cgi-bin as they tend to reside in the root and not beneath

          Thanks for the reply.

          Im now getting

The Wizard was unabl to change directories to the specified CGI-BIN diectory (/var/www/html/cgi-bin/) error message

This is when the web route directory is set as /var/www/html and the cgi bin directory is set as /var/www/html/cgi-bin

Id be willing to give someone my ftp log in details via e-mail so they can explore my directorys if someones willing to help. This is a test space that I intend closing in a couple of weeks. As soon as I can get this configured I will use my real space of which is by the same provider.

          Thanks
          Alex

are you sure you need both /var/ and /www/

              try it without the /var/
