    Actinic Directory structure

    Dear all,
I have been asked to make changes to an existing Actinic website (v6), which was originally developed by a.n. other, who seems to have fled the country!
I would be grateful for any information on the definitive layout for the Actinic Directories. I cannot seem to find any technical info on this in the online manual. For example, what is the function of the siteHTML folder?
    What is the htdocs folder?
    Cheers, spidermansteve

    Hi there

Actinic is a template driven program, all the templates then generated the store pages can be found in your site folder. If you have only got one site, then this will be called "Site1". The location for this is: C:\Program Files\Actinic v7\Sites\Site1.
The "SiteHTML" folder just holds the fully generated page, so you not change these pages, as they will be overwritten.
"htdocs" is not an Actinic folder, this is a folder setup by the hosting company where your html files will be viewable.
When Actinic uploads, it will upload to an /acatalog/ folder where the store pages are, as well as upload to the /cgi-bin/ folder where all the perlscripts go. The perlscripts are needed for the store to function correctly.
In Actinic, if you go to "Advance | Network Setup", here you would put the details on where to upload. Generally you don't need to do much change in the Actinic Directories, you can do the change within the software.

    Kind Regards
