    IIS6 & ActivePerl

When trying to run the "configure web site details", we get as far as the perl location, and a popup displays stating the following:

    You do not have:

    strict
    socket
    cwd
    file:copy

We are using the lastest ActivePerl install, which is working fine. Having read your II6 installation guide I cannot see anything missing or wrongly configured.

    Any ideas?

    Regards
    Anthony

    Hi,

What is the path to perl in Advanced | Network Setup ? Being an IIS server it should be something like c:\perl\bin\perl.exe .

Have you tried configuring the settings manually in the Network Setup window? Sometimes the web wizard does not like IIS and comes up with some strange errors. Do let us know how it goes.

    Kind regards,

      Hi,

Still not working yet, but we have managed to get this screen:

HTTP Error 401.3 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to an ACL set on the requested resource.
      Internet Information Services (IIS)

So we're just double checking all settings as per your IIS6 Setup Guide, again.

All settings seem to match the suggested ones.

      Regards
      Anthony

        Hi,

        HTTP Error 401.3 - Unauthorized:
Unauthorized due to ACL on resource. This error indicates that the credentials passed by the client (your system / Actinic ) do not have access to the particular resource (Perl installation ) on the server. This resource could be either the page or file listed in the address line of the client, or it could be another file on the server that is needed to process the file listed on the address line of the client. Please make a note of the entire address you were trying to access and then contact the Web server's administrator to verify that you have permission to access the requested resource.

        Kind regards,
