Why dont I have any images in section parent pages?

I have been updating stock onsite and realised that my actual named sections are coming together as expected, but my parent sections such as sim-free mobile phones not ones with the manufacturers names have no images or links on the pages!?

My first thought was that I hadn't inserted the images in the child sections and the parent pages used those . I tried that and it doesn't work.

Could someone please enlighten this weary soul, please.

The images I could not find were on the acatalog/index.html page - just the Vodaphone logo and the default "blank" image for sim-free. The images should be inserted against the parent section level and need to have the full extension eg .gif, .jpeg or .png ... check you are specifying an actual image in the site folder by using the "browse" button to avoid any typos.
