Uploading without changing a theme

Does anyone know how to avoid a theme change while uploading updates?

If you have changed the thene within the software to a new theme from that which is already online, then the only way is to revert back to the original theme before updating to the live site again...

If we design the web site differently, without using any of the themes that the software supports, is there a way to upload updates without any changes to the one we will use live?

I know I may confuse you the way I describe it, but I can't think of any other way

If you have a site live online under one particular design, and then within that same site within Actinic change the design, then when you update there is no way of stopping the new design from being uploaded and thus changing your site, sorry...

I don't use V7 but isn't this what test mode is supposed to do? Allow you to develop your design in test mode without affecting your live site.

You will need to convert your web design into the appropriate Actinic templates to enable an Actinic upload
