Trouble uploading my site to streamlinenet hosting

Can anyone help, I'm new to this Actinic lark.
Trying to upload my site, but failing to do so with Actinic software, so trying to upload my site via my own ftp. Do i upload all the Actinic 7 or just my site1.
Would like to upload to another folder to check the site is working and the shipping is O.K. before we do live!

To have the site download orders correctly and reupload changes, it really would be better if you tell us what web host you are using and post the settings (with passwords and usernames removed) that you are using in network setup.

      Bill,

Thank you for replying to my cry of help!

This is what is states after i've put my details in:-
Unable to contact the specified HTTP proxy server. Check the proxy server and HTTP port. Contact your system administrator or ISP for information on your proxy server.

A connection with the server could not be established

      My server address is www.streamlinenet.co.uk
Their DNS Primary name server is ns1.streamlinedns.co.uk (IP= 213.171.218.35)
I've entered my username and password but still no luck
      What is my proxy address?
I have contacted my server but as it's the weekend i doubt if i'll get a reply till early next week.
Can you tell what my HTTP Proxy address from these details?

You should only need to specify the proxy server if you have one on your PCs network.

try going to Advanced>network setup and click on the proxy tab. Select 'none', save and try running the network wizard again.

Tried selecting none and in my browser under LAN settings the proxy box is left unticked.
Selected none on my proxy tab.
Ran the wizard, its asking for my proxy/firewall configuration selected none/default for both http and ftp proxy but states could not get a connection. Its asking me to tell the wizard about my proxy settings.

In the catalog url, should this be my web address or my server?

Sean Babar http://community.actinic.com/showthr...=streamlinenet is hosted with streamlinenet - might I suggest you send him an email and ask for his help with the settings he has used successfully?

Just realised that when i go into WEB and try to select configure website details this is greyed out also on the Advanced/network setup some of these boxes are greyed out.

The book states to press the 'Update' button on the toolbar, and enter my username and password, but this box pops up stating this:-
An error occurred when trying to connect to the server. This can happen when the server is unreachable or you have set up an SSL server, but this server can not accept SSL connections, or Windows is confused about proxy settings. If you have Internet Explorer or another application configured to work with a proxy, the settings should be the same for Actinic. Please check your connection first. hence i can't enter my password etc.

Only had this software 2 weeks, so learning bits as i go along, any help would be appreciated.

On the Advanced Network settings page, click the convert button.

Streamlinenet say that i don't have a proxy address, but yet Actinic is still asking for it after ticking none to proxy address in the proxy tab.

Again this is what its stating.
[I]An error occurred when trying to connect to the server. This can happen when the server is unreachable or you have set up an SSL server, but this server can not accept SSL connections, or Windows is confused about proxy settings. If you have Internet Explorer or another application configured to work with a proxy, the settings should be the same for Actinic. Please check your connection first. I]

Checked my browser under connection setting and unticked use proxy server for this connection, but still no luck.

Who provides your connection to the internet? This is your ISP. If use proxy was previously ticked then they require you to use a proxy address when you browse the internet, and this is the proxy number that Actinic is looking for.

I have broadband with BT, i'll try ticking the proxy box, but i'm sure i tried with this selected before but couldn't get anywhere.
Also if i upload my site with my own FTP which i don't have any problems with, which file do i upload, is it Site1?
