    Online Payment General Script Error

    I have configured my website www.fireland.co.uk for Secure ePayment through HSBC. While i am in the test mode , it takes me upto the final stage of payment fine but does not take me back to my website URL from HSBC server and i get the message of A General Script Error Occurred displaying the following

    "
    Error: Your shopping cart has expired, orders must be completed within 3 hours or they will be automatically cancelled.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Press the Browser back button and try again or contact the site owner
    "

    I have checked up following for any errors on my computer

    1. My PC's timezone and clock settings
    2. Cookies are enabled in browser
    3. No firewall is installed in my PC which is disabling cookies or deleting cookies after some time.

    When I am getting redirected from fireland to HSBC
    a. Domain is www.fireland.co.uk
    b. Protocol in URL is http

    and redirected from HSBC to fireland
    a.) Domain is fireland.co.uk
    b.) Protocol in URL is https


    Can someone please throw light or give an expert opinion on this issue.

    I placed a test order and came up with the same error on completion. Have you checked with HSBC as yet to see why the return is not happening from their servers? I would suggest giving them a call on 08456 022 880 and then posting back here.

      General Script Error

      The issue is resolved and the problem was not with HSBC servers but with the server time. For future if someone faces this problem, please note the following, which might help.

      In actinic we can set time for which the cart can expire in Web | Configure Expiry Periods | and here you set the time for the Shopping Carts to expire. Now if there is a problem with the Server clock where it might be fluctuating then you could have these problems.
